Carton Plein’s project is based on reusing cardboard boxes to fight severe social exclusion.
Solidarity associations like Emmaus, Secours Catholique, etc. ... direct people in very precarious situations to Carton Plein, where they benefit from a mechanism called “premières heures” (first hours), a city of Paris initiative. This support allows them to return to work progressively, in a manner suited to their situation.
As Upcyclers, they recover and restore used cardboard boxes.
